$7 per person, payable at the ERC.
Family Weekend wristband required.
Add some physical activity to your Family Weekend at the Eppley Recreation Center (ERC). Family Weekend participants are eligible for a one-day guest pass with a Family Weekend wristband. Cost is $7 per person. Photo ID required for all guests 16 and older. Family members under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Adult can sponsor up to three minor children (under 18 years of age). Visit the Member Services desk for access to the facility.

GOLF COURSE DRIVING RANGE
University of Maryland Golf Course
Free bucket of balls with Family Weekend wristband.
Beginners, advanced golfers, and all those in between are welcome to come to the golf course and practice on our driving range. Bring your own clubs or borrow ours. Just check-in at the Golf Course Pro Shop located on the lower level of the Clubhouse.

Want to golf on our 18-hole championship course? If you would like to reserve a tee time, please call 301-314-4653. We can't wait to see you at the course!

DC MONUMENTS PADDLE ON THE POTOMAC
This event is sold out.
This trip is limited to 13 participants.
Sponsored by the University Recreation & Wellness Adventure Program
Spend the day with the RecWell Adventure Program canoeing on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. We will paddle from Columbia Island Marina to Theodore Roosevelt Island where we'll stop for lunch and a short hike. After this break in the shade, we will head back out onto the river for a short paddle back to the marina. Throughout our paddle we will enjoy views of the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the Georgetown Waterfront. No canoeing experience is necessary. Canoes can accommodate two paddlers; paddlers must be at least 8 years old. Additional small-sized (children) non-rowers can ride in the middle of the canoes; non-rowers must be at least 3 years old. Cost includes canoe rental, safety gear, boxed lunch, and transportation.

BTN TAILGATE
Maryland Football practice field, located just east of Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
The Big Ten Network’s Saturday morning football pregame show, BTN Live, will be broadcasting from UMD! All Terp fans are encouraged to arrive on campus early prior to Maryland Football's game against Northwestern to view the show (and maybe even get on TV)!

Activities will begin at 9 a.m., with the live show running from 10 a.m. to noon. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive the official #BringTheNight t-shirt!

How do college graduates fare in the job market? What skills are employers seeking? What steps should all students take to prepare for the job search? Kelley Bishop, Director, and Allynn Powell, Associate Director of the University Career Center & The President’s Promise, will address those questions and others in a 50-minute workshop on navigating the transition from college to career. The session is geared toward parents and family members that want to know more about the resources available to their students and how the career development process works. The first 30 attendees will receive a professional University Career Center & The President’s Promise portfolio.

GARDEN TOURS & LABYRINTH GUIDING
Garden of Reflection & Remembrance, Memorial Chapel
In a time when most people run their lives with an overcrowded calendar and the world seems a bit more fragile, finding time– let alone a place– to reflect is difficult. The Garden of Reflection and Remembrance on the Memorial Chapel grounds is such a place. Tours and Labyrinth Guides will be available.

Add a challenge to your weekend and enjoy an afternoon of fun on our 55-foot climbing wall and Adventure Complex. All are invited to test their climbing skills. Never climbed?  Don’t worry—our experienced staff will guide you through a positive experience.

DC MONUMENTS BIKE RIDE

This trip is limited to 11 participants.

Join the RecWell Adventure Program for a bike ride among some of Washington DC’s most iconic landmarks! Adventure Program Trip Leaders will set an easy pace and provide opportunities to stop at various monuments and memorials along the ride. The trip will cover about ten miles over three hours of riding, mostly on trails and sidewalks on the National Mall. Minimum age for this activity is 12 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult and must be tall enough to ride an adult bicycle (at least 5' tall). Cost includes bike & helmet rental, lunch, and transportation.

Free bowling or billiard tables with Family Weekend wristband.
All kids and kids-at-heart are invited to experience the fun of the Terp Zone game facility, complete with 8 bowling lanes, several billiard tables, popular arcade games and a TV lounge. You supply the energy and we’ll provide free bowling. The popular Cosmic Bowling event begins at 9 p.m.

Tickets for the barbecue are still available and will be sold at the Family Weekend Welcome Center.
All Family Weekend participants are invited to join us for music, fun, and friends on McKeldin Mall! Bring a picnic lunch or purchase a ticket for our festive barbecue fare. Enjoy a concert by the seven-sibling sensation, The Hunts. Known for their harmony-laced take on alternative folk that’s both breathtaking and ethereal, The Hunts are a Chesapeake, Virginia-based band made up of seven brothers and sisters who’ve been playing music together almost their entire lives. Stringed instruments, hand-made drums and sonorous sibling harmonies form the basis of their organic sound.

A limited number of tickets for the barbecue also will be available onsite at the Family Weekend Welcome Center located in the Stamp Student Union. Tickets for the game are still available and may be purchased from Maryland Athletics at the Family Weekend Welcome Center on Friday, October 13 only.
Show your Terrapin Pride at Maryland Stadium as Maryland takes on the Northwestern Wildcats. Thanks to a partnership with Intercollegiate Athletics, we are offering specially discounted tickets for Family Weekend registrants. In order to allow as many families as possible to attend the football game, each $60 Family Weekend registration fee will allow the purchase of up to six discounted tickets. Families wishing to purchase more than six tickets must pay full prices ($50 for lower level; $30 for upper level) for the additional tickets based on availability. Additional tickets purchased through Family Weekend ticket sales will be seated together with the original six tickets purchased. Email familyweekend@umd.edu after you have completed your Family Weekend registration to purchase tickets beyond the six ticket limit.

Tickets are not general admission. Each purchased ticket is assigned a specific seat. Football tickets are being reserved specifically for parents and family members. Purchase a ticket for your student only if you wish to sit together as a family in the family section. Otherwise, students can get their own football tickets (for free) so they receive loyalty points. Student tickets are only for the student section. Earning loyalty points increases their chances in the lottery system should demand for student tickets to football and/or basketball games exceed supply.
